These contemplative watercolors are really small meditations. I start with an idea, often a theme from scripture or other sacred writing, and doodle around to see what comes up on the paper. Watercolors lend themselves to expressing an elusive idea or theme that is too slippery for words.

The small size (8x10") keeps me from straying very far from the matter at hand.
