Images are a way of stating truths and realities that words cannot touch. Although we can talk around an idea, an image has the ability to convey a concept and build a bridge between knowing and unknowing, thinking and feeling.
I use the formal disciplines of art as building blocks - a means to an end. However, during the painting process a deeper, unconscious realm takes over. My paintings use metaphors to express truths that apply to everyone's journey.
